My BFF Kelli was able to get away for the weekend and flew from San Diego to Kansas City to visit with me for a few days. The first thing we did was get some grub at Waffle House in Liberty. Kelli had never been to a Waffle House and she loved it.
The next morning, we went up to the Poosey Conservation Area’s outdoor shooting range and fired off a few hundred rounds of .22 and .45s with my 1911 and Glock 40. I forgot to pick up targets so we ended up aiming for an unopened can of Fresca.
That evening we ate at a friend’s restaurant in Brunswick, MO. It’s a beautiful building which was an old rail station. The woodwork in the place imparts a warm, cozy, intimate atmosphere, and the food is absolutely amazing. We had brisket, pork belly burnt ends, bacon wrapped jalapenos, Mac bites and naked wings.
